Guidelines
All floats will be received in the parade line-up on a first come first serve basis. Floats will not be given priority before the parade through a numbering system. A signed registration for float participation in the 2009 Santa Claus Parade is mandatory. Floats that arrive without a signed registration will not be allowed to participate in the parade. This is required for safety reasons for both organizers and participants of this event.

- All entries must be decorated and are encouraged to make use of this year¡¦s ¡§A CHRISTMAS MELODY¡¨ theme.
- All registration forms must be received by November 20, 2009 @ 4 p.m. Entries that are not registered by this date and time may not qualify to be judged for the contest.
- The parade begins at 5 p.m. Participants must report to the parade marshal no later than 4:00 p.m. at Carambeck Public School.
- The use of lights on your float will enhance the visual appeal of your float. This year¡¦s parade theme is ¡§A Christmas Melody¡¨ Christmas music is encouraged.
- The Parade route will travel down Bridge Street, up Lansdowne Avenue, and will end at Coleman St. All entries must remain in formation until the end of the Parade.
- Entries with animals or music must be indicated on the registration form.
- For safety reasons, we ask that you do not throw candy from your float, but distributes it on foot.
- There is only one Santa Claus in the parade. He will be riding at the end of the parade.
- The parade marshal will tell you where your entry will line up when you report in.
